This person will be an intricate part of a great organization and an expert in ERP software implementation, training, and support.  Responsibilities will include completing tasks that are assigned, as identified in the implementation plan, on time, within budget, and according to specifications. These tasks will include basic client training in ERP software infrastructure as well as the modules installed, working with the clients to ensure their procedures comply with the ERP software, communicate to the project team areas that were not originally addressed in the needs analysis.


Areas of Accountability:

  • Train client super users and end users on ERP software, including all modules that the client has purchased
  • Use existing training manuals
  • Suggest improvements, modifications, and enhancements to existing training manuals with the purpose of improving GEMKO’s delivery to the client
  • Work on the project implementation team for the purpose of taking the client through the tasks in preparing the system for use
      • Assisting the client on set up issues such as their chart of accounts, posting groups, and general information needed by the client
      • Discuss with the client and work through the processes necessary to allow the client to function with the ERP software in the way they need to conduct their business
      • Keep up-to-date on new features and functionality of GEMKO products
      • Provide support to clients when questions arise
      • Provide Help Desk support, as required
      • Test developer modifications with users, if needed




Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ of experience in both working with ERP software, with hands-on implementation and training experience
  • Demonstrates basic skills, knowledge and experience with Crystal reporting and report writer software
  • Application knowledge – experience in fully integrated database applications
  • Travel requirements - approximately 20% travel outside of Western New York primarily to Rochester, Syracuse, Southern Tier and Western PA









Desired Skills

  • Knowledge in accounting most desirable, including general ledger, receivables and payables
  • Problem solving skills, i.e. ability to identify differences between the current situation and what the customer wants
  • Industry Knowledge – possess both a technical and business background. Demonstrates the ability to apply this knowledge to clients
  • Additional experience in distribution, manufacturing, and constructions industries a plus
  • Analytical skills – demonstrates the ability to analyze a situation and make recommendations with a suggested a course of actions
  • Flexible – ability to effectively respond appropriately and competently to multiple demands and changing work challenges
  • Time management – effectively and efficiently able to manage work schedules to a customer plan
  • Communication skills – verbal, written, listening, and informing
  • Presentation skills – ability to relate to end users and to train them on the procedures required and the use of their new system, either one-on-one or in groups
  • Strong organization and planning skills
