    MS Consultants, LLC is growing its business and is seeking a dynamic, hardworking estimator and to work with a team of outstanding professionals. The candidate must possess technical construction knowledge, excellent people skills and work in a team oriented environment Salary and growth opportunities commensurate with experience.

    Responsibilities


    • Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and performing quantity take-offs for select trades utilizing on-screen take off software

    • Develop and prepare conceptual estimates with minimal assistance using limited design documents/information

    • Independently read and understand architectural, site, mechanical, and electrical construction drawings

    • Independently complete detailed quantity take-off and documentation of all building components

    • Maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times

    • Interact with clients to understand and incorporate project objectives, schedules, costs, etc.

    • Travel as necessary to complete on-site estimating and meet with clients

    • Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work

    • Meet deadlines with minimal supervision

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:



    • Minimum 2-year degree completion in construction or engineering program and/or equivalent experience is desirable

    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite

    • Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning

    • Proficient with commercial & residential estimating software

    • Dedicated, well organized, able to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks

    • Detailed oriented with the ability to focus on quality, accuracy, and attention to detail

    • Maintain professionalism when faced with aggressive deadlines

    • Ability to interact, develop, and maintain a positive professional relationship with all levels of personnel

    • Dependable 


    HOURS OF OPERATION:



    • Our office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

    • Our summer hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. to noon on Friday. 

    • The ability to work additional hours during busy season is critical, but the rest of the year, flexibility is key.
