We are currently seeking an entry level Assistant Accountant to play a key role in Bonadio Group’s Syracuse office. This role requires the ability to continually learn and use new skills, and to work in a high-paced, changeable client-service environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Responsible for overall successful completion of client engagements including but not limited to compilations, reviews, and tax compliance.
Focus on tax planning in an effort to minimize client tax and present ongoing tax savings opportunities to clients.
Ability to prepare complex corporate, individual and partnership tax returns
Ability to research complex tax issues and develop resolutions
Assist client with budgeting and cash flow projections on an ongoing basis.
Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality.
Use appropriate resources and technology.
Deliver projects/engagements on time, within budget and to client's satisfaction.
Supervise and mentor junior staff inclusive of oversight on client engagements and providing evaluative feedback.
Preparing complex client correspondence including recommendations, technical issues, and responses to taxing authorities.
Ability to work independently on bookkeeping and account reconciliations both in the office and at client locations.
Manage bank and general ledger reconciliations.
Preparing quarterly tax filings.
Perform month end closings.
