We have a tremendous opportunity for a Principal Accountant to play a key role on the Healthcare Tax Exempt team of the Bonadio Group’s Rochester office. This role requires the ability to continually learn and use new skills, and to work in a high-paced, client-service environment.  The opportunity and the path to partnership is available for those with the drive and desire.

• Responsible for developing and managing client relationships and identifying new business opportunities contributing to growth and development
• Develop an understanding of our client’s business models and aspects of their industry
• Work with an engagement to team to successfully service clients in multiple industries
• Work on issues of diverse scope where analysis of a situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends
• Review and prepare clear and concise working papers
• Deliver projects/engagements on time, within budget and to client's satisfaction
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff inclusive of oversight on client engagements and providing evaluative feedback

Required:

• Minimum bachelors degree in accounting 
• CPA certification 
• Minimum of seven years of relevant CPA Firm experience
• Ability to provide mentoring and leadership to junior staff
• Ability to develop and sustain business relationships for the purpose of increasing the firms client base
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred:

• Strong leadership,organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills

Hours Of Operation:

• Our office hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
• Our summer hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday  
• We pride ourselves on our flexibility; however the ability to work additional hours will be required at peak times
